Hannah holds a Bachelor of Music Honours from Western University as well as Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Elementary Piano Pedagogy and Level 10 Piano Certificates. She has studied with Allison Wiebe at Western University, Dr. Michael Berkovsky of the Glenn Gould School in Toronto and Karen Rowell of the RCM College of Examiners. Hannah enjoys performing both as a solo and collaborative pianist with a wide range of repertoire in a variety of contexts, including concerts, recitals, music festivals, and competitions. She has performed at Western University, Princeton University, London International Airport, Aeolian Hall, Sarnia Library Theatre, Stratford Festival, and Steinway Piano Gallery Markham.
In 2018 Hannah was accepted into the Western 360 Chamber Music Festival at Western University. During this festival Hannah had the opportunity to study collaborative performing, be coached by Sharon Wei and Philip Chiu, and perform in chamber music recitals. In 2016 she was accepted into The Golandsky Institute Symposium at Princeton University in New Jersey and studied the Taubman Approach for piano technique. Hannah has competed in the Kiwanis and Rotary Festivals of Music, the 2018 OMFA Provincial Competition, and the 2016 ORMTA Young Artist London Branch Competition.
Hannah has arranged, performed, and spoken at a number of benefit concerts for charitable organizations including Voice of the Martyrs Canada, The Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform, and Ingersoll Right to Life. Additionally, she has given many concerts at retirement homes, restaurants, and airports all throughout southwestern Ontario. For over ten years, she has and continues to serve as a worship pianist in her church, playing for the weekly services as well as special events.
As an RCM Certified Elementary and Intermediate Teacher, Hannah is passionate about teaching piano and theory to students of all ages through her studio, Hannah Salamon Piano and Theory Studio. Her students frequently perform in competitions and music festivals in addition to excelling in Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada piano exams. Hannah was a two-time winner of the RCM’s Certified Teacher Lightning Talk Competition, having the opportunity to give two piano pedagogy presentations from across North America at the 2017 and 2018 RCM Summer Summits in Toronto.
